About me

Your Next Step Starts With the Right Supervisor.

I’m a licensed clinical social worker and dual-state social work supervisor who believes supervision should be more than a requirement on the road to licensure.

It should be a space where you can ask questions, strengthen your clinical judgment, build confidence, navigate challenging situations, and grow into the social worker you want to become.

My approach to supervision is practical, collaborative, and grounded in real-world social work practice. I bring experience across multiple areas of social work, including behavioral health, hospice, home health, long-term care, school social work, and employee assistance services.

That range has shaped how I supervise: I understand that social work careers don’t always follow one straight path, and neither does professional growth.

Why NEXT STEPS?

I created NEXT STEPS for social workers who are ready to move forward—but don’t necessarily want to navigate that process alone.

Whether you’re working toward advanced licensure, transitioning into a new area of practice, building your clinical confidence, or trying to figure out what comes next in your career, supervision should meet you where you are.

NEXT STEPS provides clinical supervision and professional consultation designed to help you develop not only the hours required for licensure, but the knowledge, judgment, confidence, and professional identity that come with becoming an experienced social worker.

My Supervision Philosophy

I believe good supervision should be:

Collaborative
You bring your experiences, questions, challenges, and goals. We work through them together.
Practical
Supervision should connect what you learn to what you’re actually encountering in practice.
Growth-focused
The goal isn’t simply to complete supervision hours. It’s to develop your ability to think critically, practice ethically, and make sound professional decisions independently.
Supportive and accountable
You should feel comfortable bringing difficult situations to supervision while also being challenged to examine your practice and continue growing.
Individualized
There isn’t one “right” way to become a social worker. Your supervision should reflect your experience, setting, goals, and professional path.

A Little More About Me

I’m a Maryland LCSW-C and Texas LCSW building NEXT STEPS around something I believe strongly in: social workers deserve access to thoughtful, structured professional development throughout their careers—not just when they need someone to sign off on their hours.

I’m particularly interested in supporting social workers navigating licensure across states, career transitions, changing practice environments, and the realities of building a sustainable social work career.

I also understand that life and social work careers can involve a lot of movement. That is one reason I’m especially interested in supporting military spouse social workers and professionals navigating multi-state licensure.

Your career may take you somewhere different than you originally imagined.

That’s okay.

The next step doesn’t have to be the final destination.

Let’s Take the Next Step.

Whether you’re working toward advanced licensure or looking for professional consultation as you navigate your career, NEXT STEPS is here to support the process.

Your journey. Your goals. Your next step.
